News - Munch Sells at Sotheby's For £16.9 Million - London

Last night at Sotheby’s, London, an Edvard Munch sold for £16.9 million – almost £5 million more than the house had expected. The painting was a part of a section owned by Thomas Olsen (1897-1969), the Norwegian ship owner who is believed to hold one of the largest Munch collections made available since WWII.
